Cold Shower
Somewhere I read a quote that went something along the lines of “The average adult wakes up every morning and feels like shit”. Everyone has those days, but you aren’t supposed to wake up and feel that way. I believe this helps. Also, this might seem minuscule in proportion to what is important to your daily routine but it’s accumulative like most things are. Take the normal hot shower that you would normally enjoy and then for the last couple of minutes, rinse off your feet and legs with cold water, gradually incorporating more of your body into the water. After a few attempts, try to get your armpits and your spine in there. The cold water will help to: -Help promote and clean the cirulatory system. -contracts muscles while getting rid of toxins in them. -Strengthens your nervous system. (think polar bear club) -Strengthens mucous membranes protecting you from illnesses. -Reduces blood pressure on internal organs These are just a few benefits of cold showers. I’ve been doing every time i take a shower at night. Once i got used to the effects i’d get out of the shower and into the warm room and feel much more relaxed. My tolerance to the cold weather has increased as well.
